Class
Policies
1. PLEASE MAKE PAYMENT AT TIME OF
REGISTRATION. Although we are prepared to be flexible on
this point, if a paying customer comes along, and you have
not made a payment for a class, you will be bumped from the
class. We probably will not have time (or foresight enough)
to call you in advance of that paying customer's
registration.
2. PLEASE CALL IF YOU CANNOT MAKE THE
CLASS. If you call a week in advance, you can have store
credit for the amount of the class. If it is closer to the
event, and we can find a replacement for you, you can have
store credit. This may seem strict, but remember, I have
committed to pay the instructor based on your attendance. If
you can't attend, I still must pay the instructor.
3. I KNOW THESE ARE GOOD CLASSES, but our space is so limited that we ask you not
to bring visiting relatives, sick children or loving spouses. ALL of those folks are invited to the
shop, but not to your class.
4. KNOW WHAT YOU NEED IN ADVANCE. If
you're not sure,---ask. We may have forgotten to give you
the supply list, or to have told you where to find it. If
your class requires a sewing machine, MAKE SURE you know how
to operate the one you bring. If you haven't touched the
machine since junior high school, try to find the manual and
all the accessories. We can usually find a solution to
common problems. There are new Pfaffs as well as a couple
old but useful machines in the shop that can be used without
charge by students. You might want to come to class early to
figure out how to use these machines.
