The Capital Quilts staff
loves it when customers stop by with their finished
projects or works in progress.
We got a nice email from Jeri McClain,a former customer:
"I moved away from Maryland in 2002, and took with me a Capital Quilts block a month unfinished project. I sure miss your shop and all the wonderful staff and activities Capital Quilts had.
I finally finished that blue and white block a month quilt, and thought you’d enjoy seeing one more version of how these blocks were finished. It was a gift to my Mom for Mother’s Day (2008), so the happy recipient and quilter are both shown here.
I hope you enjoy this flash from the past. --Jeri "

Jane Howard made the quilt below called "Baltimore Blues". It was quilted by Helen Oelschlaeger.
Marge Bormann took Donna Gemeny's class "My Life in Scraps" and here is the result.

Elizabeth Hemming made the quilt below after taking Maria O'Haver's "Curved Flying Geese" class.

Nan Highland made this quilt as a gift for friend. It's the Good Fortune quilt and Marcia helped her pick out the bright fabrics.

Here's a picture of our customer Candy Cheung. This is her first quilt, which she designed and made for her neice. We love it's colorful, imaginative image.

Buddy McLaughlin, our son, designed and made the quilt below. It's a wedding gift for Jennifer, the daughter of very good friends in Toronto. Neither the bride-to-be, her new husband, nor her parents Patrick and Janet have seen it, and we are taking it with us as we go to Toronto to pick up our daughter, Elizabeth. The quilting is very unique, as is the quilt itself. We are very proud of his work, and impressed with his artistic ability.
