Block Swap--February 26 Our director of Block Swaps, Nina Graves, has something quite special lined up for you in this season's Block Swap.  There is no special tool required, and the theme will be bright, cheerful and Spring-like!  Plan to be at Capital Quilts on Sunday, February 26 from 2-4pm.  For a $10 kit fee, Nina will cover the construction details of the block, rules for the swap, and give you a starter kit of fabric in suggested colors.  Blocks will be due on Sunday, March 18, and will be presented to participants on Sunday, March 25.  This is always one of our most popular activities, so place it on your calendar right away!     Click to enlarge

Block of the Month

This is our longest-running and most popular ongoing club. Leader Joyce Hockman runs an informative and entertaining group that meets on the second Saturday of each month for fun, friendship and lots of quilting know-how!  When you join, you will discover the blocks you will make over time, the skills and techniques that Joyce will cover, and the kind of final project the blocks can make.  This year, Joyce will focus on one block per month that can be used as a miniature (12") quilt, or individual pieces in a larger quilt.  She will discuss alternative possibilities in the first meeting (Sat., January 14).

We limit attendance in this very popular club to encourage group par-ticipation.  It is important to sign up early to be a part of it.  Dues are $24.

Accuquilt Club

Membership in the Club is really growing!  And you can be a part of the exciting new trend.  Imagine the satisfaction of cutting perfect strips and other shapes–hundreds in a matter of moments!  Members share on a monthly basis the cutting tricks they have learned, and show the projects they have completed.  Special times are set aside each week for club members to cut whatever they wish. Dues for the first quarter are $20.  Membership is limited to ensure access to cutting times. Meets the last Saturday of the month, from 10:30 am  to 12:30 pm.

The Birthday Program

We will be honoring you during the month of your birthday with a 15% sale on all regularly priced merchandise– every day of the month!  Each month we will also feature a single notion, book, pattern, or fabric that will be on sale for everyone to enjoy.  The rotating special will be posted on the web site.
