Students will learn the basics of completing an edge-to-edge design on their own quilting projects. Completion of this class is required before you will be allowed to rent time on the shop's Amara or Moxie. Students are welcome to download the Pro-Stitcher simulation software on their own Microsoft-enabled laptops to bring to class. This is not required. Must already have taken the Getting Started on Long Arm class before registering for this. The ProStitcher Premium Simulator is not currently supported on Apple / MAC systems so you must have access to a current Windows based computer.

Got a big quilt and a small machine? In this class, you’ll learn three techniques for quilting a large quilt on your domestic sewing machine. With these techniques, you can quilt manageable areas of your quilt and then assemble the sections into a complete whole: Gusset Method Low-Fat Method Large Sections Method Students will be provided with a kit of quilt sandwiches that they will use to create samples of each method. This class is an excellent follow-up to either Walking Foot 101 or Introduction to Ruler Work.
