Lucy Boston's Patchwork of the Crosses
Lucy Boston (1892-1990) lived near Cambridge, England, and began her writing, designing, and sewing career when in her sixties. “Patchwork of the Crosses” is made with just two shapes. Learn how to prepare and combine these shapes to create many wonderful blocks. This wonderful English Paper Piecing project can be made even more fabulous by purposefully cutting themed motifs for some of the block units. This is called “fussy cutting”, and Kim will discuss how to identify where to place motifs and how to cut them out.
