Another scrappy beauty from Pat Speth "Big Book of Nickel Quilts"   Most importantly, we will need a pair of 5 inch squares for the darks and a pair of 5 inch squares for the lights of each block.  The lights and darks for the quilt can be completely scrappy.  You can use all types of fabric from modern to reproduction to bring together her lovely design.  The class model is lap size without borders; the book allows for twin and queen sizes, and also gives border options.

49 pairs (98 total) of light 5" squares

1/2 yard binding

4 yards backing


SUPPLIES
sewing machine in good working order, recently cleaned and oiled by a qualified technician.  Don't forget your power cord and foot pedal!
quarter inch foot for your sewing machine
machine needles, size 80/12
cutting mat
rotary cutter
clear acrylic quilter's ruler
fine patchwork pins
50 wt. neutral thread
seam ripper
small scissors for snipping threads



CLASS POLICIES:
-Please do not bring visitors to class.
-Be sure to check your supply list before class.  Bring all supplies with you.
-If you must cancel the class, your fee can be refunded as a store credit ONLY if you have notified us at least seven days before the class.  If someone on the waiting list can fill your place,  you will receive store credit for the fee, even if you have not notified us by the deadline.
-If Capital Quilts cancels the class for any reason, including inclement weather, you will receive an email advising you of this situation.  We also post store closings on our website, www.capitalquilts.com, and on Facebook.  If the class is rescheduled, you will be invited to come to the new class before the class is opened to public registration.  In the event you cannot take the rescheduled class, you will receive a full refund of the class fee.
