To all of you who are mothers, Happy Mother’s Day! May the sun shine warm upon your face and your children be kind!
Our Anniversary Sale continues! Everything is 20% off regularly-priced items. Clearance fabric is always 40% off; it is located in the room at the far left-hand corner, where the Handi Quilters and books are. Saturday is the last day of the sale. In-store purchases only; fabrics have a minimum half yard cut for sale price.
Please join us on Monday evening, May 9, at 7, to meet Larry Sheckman, our manufacturers’ rep for several companies, including Timeless Treasures and P&B. Larry will be here to show us some of the newest fabrics from Timeless Treasures and, if we are lucky, some of his other lines. We are hoping that some of the companies will let Larry show us some of the new fall fabrics before they are released at Quilt Market the following week! Larry has been in the fabric industry for a whole lot of years and has witnessed many changes in the industry. He has lots of stories to tell. He is also a designer; if you’ve used P&B’s Bear Essentials or Timeless Treasures’ white-on-white fabrics, chances are you have used Larry’s designs. As the go-between for the fabric shops and the designers and manufacturers and a designer himself, he has a unique perspective on what the trends are and what customers like to purchase and make. I am sure it will be a fascinating evening! The event is $5 and includes a beverage (maybe even a glass of wine!) and light eats (crackers and cheese, peanuts, sweets, that sort of thing). We will cap attendance at 50, so don’t delay in signing up!
