Dear Summer Sewists,

Scott Fortunoff, owner of the Jaftex fabric companies, wrote a wonderful post recently about the ways you as a customer can help your favorite quilt shops stay in business. Last week we read about what to do. This week we read about what NOT to do. Click here to read part II of the post.

We have a Block of the Month program that is short and sweet and will get you in the Christmas spirit! Vintage Holiday begins on Tuesday, August 13 and meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month for 5 months: that is August 13, September 10, October 8, November 12, and December 10. Each meeting is just 1 hour long, from 10:30-11:30. Anne Brill will teach you how to put together the month’s blocks (there are 10 total) and host show and tell. A limited number of kits are available for this quilt, or use your own fabrics.
