Dear Friends,
My daughter Katie, who lives in Seattle, has been teleworking from her apartment for more than 2 weeks now. She says the days all blend together; she has set her phone alarm to go off Monday through Friday; if it blares at her in the morning, she knows she has to get up and work. Her biggest challenge: loneliness. She is spending more time FaceTiming and calling her friends. My own personal silver lining: she is calling home more often!
I can’t send you people to fulfill the need for human interaction, but I can offer you some quilting therapy. Let’s do a Corona Challenge! Make a quilt that expresses your reaction to these unprecedented times. It might be annoyance, a challenge, a fear, your silver lining, a coping mechanism, scientific awe…
Click here or call us 301-527-0598 to register for “Corona Challenge”. Cost: $20 What you get: one yard of ‘mystery’ fabric and curbside pickup or free shipping (make sure your address is up to date!)
Make a quilt that is at least 20” x 20” and not more than 60” x 60”. Buy more fabric in our online shop 😊 and/or use your stash.
We’ll hope that 8 weeks from now the coronavirus will be behind us. Bring your Corona Quilt to the shop by May 17. We will hang them in the Gallery for all to admire. If we are still in crisis in May, we’ll figure something out.
Stay home, flatten the curve, and KEEP CALM AND STITCH ON.
Go ‘n’ Piece, Alison
