What's New at CQ 10/17/2023
It's getting cold, and dark early, and that makes me cranky. But taking a good class -- that makes me happy! We still have some openings in the Handi Quilter Mini Camp, and in Karen Kehl's Singapore Jewel class. If you're taking Karen's class, you might rub shoulders with a quilting rock star, as several instructors have already signed up for this class. And, no one has signed up for Elizabeth's apron class yet! I think it might be because you are all intimidated by the itty bitty models she made for herself. But I had her make one in a real person size, too (my size!) And, she has figured out how to tell you to customize yours to fit you exactly. Not all of us are petite flowers. We are waiting to finalize the needle turn applique class, and I'm trying to talk Linda into a holiday collage class -- we hear Peppermint is everyone's favorite flavor!
Happy Sewing!

From Benartex we have a selection of Bali Elements. Earth – Water – Air – Fire – they are all embodied in our Bali Elements collection. Shades of brown, and blue prompt thoughts of earth and water, while swirling motifs bring to mind the smoke in the air. The hues and patterns are both trendy and timeless, making this collection one that you will use again and again. |
Kat discovered these Deer brand hand sewing needles while at a quilt show. She loves them so much for her English Paper Piecing that she convinced me to carry them in the shop. They're quite long, come with a hook needle threader, and come 25 per package for only $5.00! |
There's still time to whip out a Halloween quilt, and we love Hocus Pocus by The Pattern Basket. Stitch up this fun, 52" x 65" autumnal pumpkin quilt using simple machine pieced squares and rectangles. No templates or specialty rulers needed. Pieced pumpkins in 3 sizes (and colors) along with pieced black stars on a light background make this design especially delightful. |
