What's New at CQ 11/28/2023

Dear Friends,

We are pleased to announce that we are now an authorized Arrow Sewing Furniture Dealer! Much of the product has arrived, and we are slowly releasing it onto the sales floor. Come in and take a look-see!  I absolutely LOVE the Kookaburra Cutting Table. This cutting table has storage, convenience and function – AND 70″ x 40″ worksurface! It comes with 8 heavy-duty casters to provide stability, easy mobility and 360° access. Even better – Kookaburra’s 2 side leaves fold down to 20″ x 40″ to easily store when not in use. 4 storage drawers on the front, 4 storage shelves on the back, and 1 beautiful cutting table to help elevate your sewing and crafting experience. Choose from three different finishes: Ash White, Teak, or Gray. Through the end of the year, you can purchase this $1600 table for only $1199!

And if you're working on revamping your sewing studio, we still have a couple of floor model Horn Cabinets at 40% off!

Happy Sewing!

Join Karen Kehl on December 2nd for Finishing in Style: Advanced Bindings. Choosing the right binding is critical to the final look of a quilt. After spending many, many hours on piecing and quilting a quilt, learn how to finish it off in a style that best frames its hard work and beauty. In this workshop, students will learn all about finishing off their quilts in grand style, from preparing the quilt for binding to deciding on the right binding style to tips for executing a clean binding with sharp corners. Both flanged binding and facing techniques will be demonstrated and practiced using placemats. Students will leave with skills they can use on every quilt they make!

Relax on Friday nights with fellow quilters for a virtual quilting bee. Settle into your favorite sewing space with your favorite Zoom-compatible technology for 2 hours of stitching and chatting. Everyone will have a chance to talk about what they’ve been working on and pose questions to the other quilters. Each month, a guest speaker shares her enthusiasm for an aspect of quilting – a designer, a technique, a hot topic -- with lots of inspiring ideas and photos. December's topic is quick Holiday Gifts. January's topic is temperature quilts, and participants will be encouraged to work on one throughout 2024.

Join Cathy on December 6th to make a Holiday Star Table Runner! This table runner is the perfect choice for any holiday. Whether you choose Christmas prints, Hanukkah colors, or patriotic fabrics - the finished project will be stunning! Construction is simple - sew together two halves and finish by sewing the center seam so there are no inset points.

There are two spots available in the afternoon session of the Quilt of Valor workshop on December 11th. Reserve a spot and bring just your machine, basic sewing supplies, and a can-do attitude!  All fabric is provided.

Are you interested in hand work? Have you dreamed about making a Lone Star quilt?  Laurie Sieminski can help!  She's teaching Lone Star by Hand starting January 15th.
