It was a stressful week last week, but the political ads are over for now. If you need solace from your family or friends, we have pretty fabric to pet and chocolate at the register. We are happy to be your peaceful escape. In honor of Veteran's Day, the Gallery display has been changed to Quilts of Valor. Please do come in to see them! We have patterns, new cork & vinyl, and silicone hot pads to facilitate quick gift making. If there's interest, we can force Cathy to teach another microwave bowl cozy class. It's a gift that is always appreciated. If you don't feel like making your gifts, we have candles, zip pouches, charms, books and shop models that make lovely presents. Please note that we will be CLOSED for Thanksgiving, and will close at 3pm on Wednesday the 27th.
Happy Sewing! -Marianne
ps. Through the end of the year, every time you come into the shop and make a purchase, you can fill out a slip to be entered into a drawing to be held on January 2nd for a $75 Capital Quilts Gift Card. This card can be used towards anything in the store, including classes! This is in addition to our regular monthly Blue Bag drawing.

I purchased Florence from Art Gallery Fabrics with the idea that not everyone wants metallic fabric for their "Hold Everything" bags. And Floral Elements in Victorian Red coordinates beautifully with it! Capri is also from Art Gallery Fabrics, and I got it with the same intent. What a fabulous summer bag this would make! |

Sew Together! Start December on the 6th with a virtual quilting bee! Settle into your favorite sewing space with your favorite Zoom-compatible technology for 2 hours of stitching and chatting. Everyone will have a chance to talk about what they’ve been working on and pose questions to the other quilters. Each month, a guest speaker shares her enthusiasm for an aspect of quilting – a designer, a technique, a hot topic -- with lots of inspiring ideas and photos. |

NEW CLASS ALERT! Karen Kehl will be teaching her Winter Holiday Table Runner on December 7th. This pattern is written for Hannukah, Christmas, or the Epiphany, but could easily be adapted for Kwaanza, too. |

How many of you are interested in a Scrapbusting Club? |
