As much as I hate to talk about problems, I feel that honesty is best. We're dealing with a few at the moment. First, we just placed another Quilters Dream Batting order, and were told that they have a 5-6 week backlog! Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that. We will, however, bring in some Warm & Natural and Warm & White to help fill the gap. Are there other battings that you've used and liked? Second, some of you are reporting problems with our marketing emails (like this one!). Some of you aren't receiving them; others have reported that they cannot successfully unsubscribe. Additionally, our software provider "upgraded" the mailing module, and the weekly emails have not been posting to our online archive. If you aren't receiving emails, or know someone who isn't, please reach out. We can check to ensure your email address is correct, and that you are on the Newsletter list. If the problem is unsubscribing, we can process that manually. Finally, the issue with the newsletter archive has been identified and is being worked on by the software techs, and Kat has found a way to get all the old newsletters back into the archive. It may take her a few days to get them all loaded, and they will appear out of chronological order in the archive, but all will be identified by the date they were written. Third, our software provider has been experiencing problems with system stability, which has, on occasion, rendered us unable to process any sales at times. Believe me, this is actually more frustrating for me than it is for you. We heard from the CEO of the company today, promising to focus all of their efforts for the next week on resolving stability and timeout issues. We ask for patience and understanding when these things happen, as they are literally out of our hands.
Happy Sewing! -Marianne

Relax on the evening of Friday, March 6th with fellow quilters for a virtual quilting bee. Settle into your favorite sewing space with your favorite Zoom-compatible technology for 2 hours of stitching and chatting. Everyone will have a chance to talk about what they’ve been working on and pose questions to the other quilters. Each month, a guest speaker shares her enthusiasm for an aspect of quilting – a designer, a technique, a hot topic -- with lots of inspiring ideas and photos. Often, small challenges are put out to the group. |

The pattern provides for multiple sizes and uses either a jelly roll or yardage. The last session will be a bonus project to use up the scraps leftover from the Adventureland Quilt. The project is a Scottie Dog pattern using 2.5” squares to form an adorable Scottie stuffed animal to keep or donate to NIH Children’s Inn. This is a free pattern from Denyse Schmidt Quilts that will be provided to the students. This three-session class starts on March 19th. |
