Quilt shows are a great way to get a "taste" of different quilt shops without traveling all over the place. We were a vendor at the Lancaster-Lebanon Quilt Show two weeks ago, and were pleasantly surprised at the number of fabric bundles that sold. What is it that you look for when you visit vendor booths at a show? Complete collection bundles? Kits? Unusual patterns? Specialty tools? Thread assortments? Please let me know! And, as a reminder, we will be at the Northern Shenandoah Quilt Show in Berryville this weekend. We hope to see you there! Thank you for being a part of our community. You make it possible for us to be here! -Marianne
ps. If you are participating in Stacey Lee's Comfort Cases Quilt Drive, please work on sewing in April; we will collect quilts in May. Refer to Stacey's FAQs for details. pps. Nimble Fingers Quilt Guild is holding a Quilt Bingo on May 16th. Click HERE for details.

Quilting with rulers is a wonderful way to add curved designs to your quilting repertoire. Bored with your walking foot and intimidated by full-on free motion quilting? Ruler work is an ideal compromise to create precise yet interesting stitching on your quilts using your domestic machine. In this 5-week class starting May 30th, you will make a 9-block sampler of ruler work designs. At the end, you’ll learn a quilt-as-you-go method for joining the blocks together. |
