Happy September! Pizza box kits are ready for pickup, and here is a look at the August blocks.
The Microwave Cozy class is full, but Cathy has offered to teach another; we've scheduled it for immediately after the first class on October 25th..
It's time for Dress A Girl! We are again acting as a drop-off location throughout the month of September. As a thank-you, shop discount coupons will be issued with each donation (regardless of number of dresses). We have also scheduled a workshop for the 19th.

Happy Feet Sneaker Class • September 26
Joan from Bucklebee Tools is returning this fall to teach her Happy Feet sneaker class! We have only one space available. Spend the day making a pair of real sneakers with quilted uppers and rubber soles.
Your class fee includes instruction, soles, insoles, eyelets, an instruction book, and cardstock pattern. Shoelaces will be available to purchase from the instructor.

Joan is also offering a Sneakers Studio Session on Sunday, September 27, for experienced sneaker makers who would like time and tools to make or finish more.

Pillowcases for Ryan’s Case for Smiles
We have free pillowcase kits available! We donate every pillowcase to Ryan’s Case for Smiles, which distributes them to children battling serious illness. Pick up a kit next time you’re in the shop, then return your completed pillowcase on your schedule. You’re also welcome to use your stash and a favorite pillowcase pattern.

Placemats
We have placemat kits available at the shop, so please stop by to pick up one—or two. If you’d like to sew from your stash, you can use your favorite pattern. Please return all completed placemats to Capital Quilts.

Kennel Quilts
We have free small kennel quilt kits available. These little quilts are sent to shelters that take in pets displaced by natural disasters. They are a wonderful beginner project, a great use for leftover fabric, and a place to practice free-motion skills.
